What counts as an "active transaction"?
A live, non-archived deal in your account. The free plan allows exactly one at a time, archive it or upgrade to Pro to open a second.
What does the free plan actually include?
Full contract extraction with page citations and a complete, honest timeline for your one active deal. What free doesn't include: a second live transaction, iCal and CSV export, or a live API key. No card required.
Do I need a paid plan to use the API?
No. A test API key is free on every plan, throttled and never bills, so you can see the real engine's response shape before you pay for anything. A live production key at your plan's quota is a Pro or Scale feature.
What's the difference between Pro and Scale?
Pro (Unlimited transactions · 1,000 API calls/mo, then $0.05 each) fits an agent or a small team running deals every week. Scale (Everything in Pro · 10,000 API calls/mo, then $0.03 each) is for coordination shops, teams and products built on the API at higher volume.
